Going Places is the next step and new
release for this inventive duo, featuring
the pianist Göran Strandberg and
drummer Sebastian Voegler, which saw
its debut in 2010 on the Residual Sounds
label. This unconventional and
adventursome context would for them
change the rules and conventions their
instruments often succumbed to in a
more traditional jazz setting. The
intimacy allowed for a true dialogue, a
dynamic and intensive exchange of
textures and ideas, and promises a rollercoaster
ride for the listener! The albums
title “Going Places” is based on this
experience - a musical, as well as
productional, adventure and journey.
